Photo Gallery!

Sorry, that last comment wasn't directed toward you.  I meant that instead of putting it as a button up there, post it as a board.  You know, kind of the way you have the Exec board setup.  That way when new people sign up, they see it as one of the options.  It's kind of hard to find right now, as it is.

The point of the photo gallery is to make it easily accessible by members.  SO THERE.

1) i created this topic
2) i added the announcement to the news box at the top
3) i created the button for it (which wont show up until you log in)
4) i just sent out an email on the mailing list announcing it

I think that you need to put a link for it on the message board itself.....like, as one of the topics......it's kind of obscure and hard to find as it currently is.

and i deliberately advertised it but didnt make it accessible until you register and login, to make sure people registered first...

ok well i know farhan is having fun with it... but i guess not many other people have had a chance to see it yet. but when you do, be sure to leave your feedback on it here... from my playing with it, everythign seems just fine.. but if you notice anythign that could be changed or improved, please do share  :wink:

so youve all been asking about it for a while now, and now its finally here... the UABMSA is proud to present its very own online photo gallery. this gallery will contain photos taken at our various events and activities, to serve as a visual record of the progress and growth of the MSA.

a few notes about the gallery...

• in order to view the gallery, you MUST be registered on and logged in to the forum. do this first before visiting the gallery, or you will not be able to view any of the albums.
• browse the gallery by clicking on an album. you may then view images selectively by clicking on them, or by clicking on the first image in the album and navigating the album using the arrows above the first picture. you may also view an album as a continuous slideshow by clicking on the slideshow button above the image.
• you may view a larger copy of a picture in a new window simply by clicking on it
• pictures can be rated using the "Rate this file" section under each picture.
• you may leave a comment for a picture by submitting it under the section "Add your comment" under each picture.

i just set this up, so if you encounter any problems or have any questions, please post them here. also, i am aware that clicking on the "logout" link of the gallery gives an error message... simply return to the forum and click the logout button there to correctly logout. so anyhow, poke around and have fun  :grin: to begin, click on the "Gallery" button on the toolbar at the top of the page under the news box (you will only see this button if you are currently logged in)...
